The ship, which was launched in 2019, will undergo a refurbishment before joining the Resorts World Cruises fleet in 2022.
Resorts World Cruises will also expand its operations to include new itineraries in Asia, with a focus on Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. The company will also offer cruises to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
In addition, Resorts World Cruises has announced that it will be building two new ships. The first ship is set to launch in 2023 and the second in 2025. Both ships will be built by Genting Hong Kong, the parent company of Dream Cruises and Resorts World Cruises.
Resorts World Cruises is part of Genting Group, a global hospitality and leisure company. The new cruise line is the latest addition to Genting’s portfolio, which includes casino resorts, hotels, and other leisure businesses.
The company has not yet released details about the onboard experience or pricing for its cruises. However, Resorts World Cruises has said that it will offer “new and innovative” features and amenities.
The acquisition of Explorer Dream and the expansion of its operations indicate that Resorts World Cruises is positioning itself as a major player in the Asian cruise market.
