During today’s Unlocking the Disney Treasure: Adventure Awaits Onboard Disney’s Newest Ship presentation, Disney shared an overview of what guests will get to experience when the Disney Treasure set sail in late 2024.
GRAND HALL
Guests will be welcomed aboard Disney’s palace on the sea by Cast and Crew members as they enter the Grand Hall. Inspired by the grandeur and mystery of a gilded palace, the Grand Hall aboard the Disney Treasure, draws on real-world influences from Asia and Africa and pays homage to the far-off land of Agrabah from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ classic tale, Aladdin.
Jasmin and Aladdin flying on Magic Carpet will be the iconic centerpiece statue of the the Grand Hall with the Genie’s lamp sitting on the pedestal at the base of the grand staircase.
The Grand Hall will serve as the ship’s most prominent gathering space, inspiring wonder and exploration during each voyage. This space will radiate the irresistible allure of adventure, inviting guests to seek all the treasures on board from the moment they embark. The Grand Hall Stage will play a pivotal role in the adventure with new entertainment, including interactive shows, character encounters and musical performances.
Just off the Grand Hall, guests will encounter two casual walk-up cafes offering a selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks, with new themes that draw inspiration from two brave Disney Princesses, Moana and Mulan.
Named for Moana’s trusty sidekick, Heihei Café will echo the scalloped seashells and reflective blue waters of the Southern Pacific Isle of Motunui as its portrayed in Disney’s animated feature “Moana.” The venue will feature furniture stylings that pay homage to a traditional construction technique used by the Polynesian people to craft seafaring vessels.
Jade Cricket Café, inspired by the classic Disney film “Mulan,” will honor the Fa Family’s “lucky” cricket, Cri-Kee, who will be represented by a jade sculpture on the bar top. From the central moon gate to the plum blossom flowers adorning the walls, symbols of Mulan’s strength, beauty and heritage will fill the café, while the striking blue walls and metallic counters will be reminiscent of her armor.
ENTERTAINMENT
The Walt Disney Theatre will be an opulent show palace that comes alive with original Broadway-style productions developed exclusively for Disney Cruise Line by world-class creative teams.
The voyage begins when Captain Minnie hands over the helm to her dear friend Goofy as he sets sail into uncharted waters on a journey to discover his own inner captain during Disney Seas the Adventure which debuted on the Disney Wish in 2022. The evening entertainment will also include a tale as old as time, as guests are wicked away on a magical journey to discover the power of transformation in Beauty and the Beast which debuted on the Disney Dream in 2017. Belle’s enchanting adventure incorporates imaginative elements from the live-action film and the classic animated feature.
