Book Your Next Amazing Cruise with Travel Leader, Jeffrey Cleary
Cunard’s upcoming season in Alaska is set to be a big one, with renowned adventurer Bear Grylls making a special guest appearance on one of the voyages.
This summer, Queen Elizabeth will spend three months in Alaska, operating a total of seven sailings across the popular U.S. state. Bear Grylls will kick-start the season with a special 12-night itinerary, accompanying guests to well-known sites like Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park. You can find out more about this on our blog.
Just when we thought the new season couldn’t get more exciting, the line has announced that it has resumed its partnership with Rocky Mountaineer. Cunard first partnered with the luxury train operator in 2018 but was forced to stop selling tours when the pandemic hit.
Depending on their sailing date, guests can bookend their Alaska cruise with a three-night pre-cruise rail tour or a four-night post-cruise package.
The three-night add-on will begin in Vancouver and end in Calgary. Fares start at $2,850 per person, based on double occupancy, and are available on the two cruises from Japan to Vancouver and four Vancouver roundtrips (Q323, Q324, Q325 and Q326).
The four-night tour will take guests in the opposite direction and include an additional day for sightseeing in Banff via a spectacular Gondola ride. Fares start at $3,250 per person, based on double occupancy, and are available on three Vancouver roundtrips ranging from seven to 10 nights (Q321, Q322 and Q323).
“We are thrilled to provide guests with the opportunity to combine a luxury cruise onboard Queen Elizabeth taking in the finest views of Alaska by sea with a journey on the Rocky Mountaineer that takes in the stunning scenery of the Canadian Rockies by train.”
“Offering exceptional service and fine dining, Rocky Mountaineer is a wonderful addition to a Cunard voyage. We know our guests will be delighted to have the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular surroundings in style”, said Carnival President Sture Myrmell.
Guests travelling on the legendary Rocky Mountaineer will enjoy breathtaking 180-degree views of snow-capped mountains, shimmering lakes and winding canyons and culinary delights inspired by the region.
Other seasonal highlights include a bespoke Alaska Afternoon Tea, an elegant Ice White Ball and a brand-new dining concept called Frontier.
